Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Handle accounting for advisory-related revenue, review billing activity, and ensure revenue collections are accurately reconciled.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules tied to the monthly close process.
- Evaluate revenue performance and operating data to identify trends, variances, and areas requiring attention.
- Improve accounting workflows by introducing more efficient processes, automation, and stronger internal controls.
- Assist with acquisition-related accounting needs, business integrations, and implementation of new operational platforms.
- Create and maintain key performance indicators and recurring reports to support financial and operational decision-making.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to entry-level accounting staff while helping maintain team productivity and quality standards.
- Support general ledger accuracy and contribute to tax-related accounting activities, including areas such as corporate and sales tax support as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
- Prior experience leading or supervising staff within financial services, wealth management, broker-dealer, or similar environments.
- Strong background in revenue accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger activity.
- Experience working in high-growth organizations or supporting acquisition and integration efforts is preferred.
- Knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and related accounting support responsibilities is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
