3001579115-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Canon U.S.A. seeks a Senior Accountant to support its manufacturing-focused imaging and printing business. In this role, you will own key components of the monthly close, general ledger, and GAAP financial reporting, with a strong emphasis on cost and inventory accounting for manufacturing operations. You will prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, and analyze variances to guide leadership decisions. Partnering closely with operations, you'll provide insights that improve margins, efficiency, and asset utilization. You will also support audits, strengthen internal controls, and help enhance ERP-driven reporting in Canon's collaborative, innovation-driven culture. Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Manage general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end close activities. Perform manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis. Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts; analyze variances and provide actionable recommendations. Support audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for internal and external auditors. Partner with operations and manufacturing teams to provide financial insights for efficiency and profitability initiatives. Assist in evaluating capital expenditures and ROI for key projects and technology investments. Improve and document accounting processes, controls, and reporting tools to enhance accuracy and timeliness. Leverage ERP and reporting systems to build dashboards and management reports. Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to cross-functional projects and continuous improvement efforts.
