Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our client with their financial operations of a nonprofit organization in Cincinnati, Ohio. This contract role contributes to month‑end and year‑end close processes, maintains general ledger accounts, and supports audit and regulatory reporting in a structured, deadline‑driven environment. Key Responsibilities + Support month‑end and year‑end close processes + Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts and financial schedules + Assist with budgets, amendments, and required financial reports + Support tax filings (1099/W‑2), pension reporting, and compliance reporting + Review disbursements, receipts, and purchasing activity for accuracy + Assist with cash management, special accounts, and debt service reconciliations + Prepare audit support schedules and documentation Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience Experience in regulated or fund‑accounting environments a plus Strong reconciliation, reporting, and attention‑to‑detail skills Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
