Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Create and record recurring and ad hoc journal entries to support accurate monthly financial results.
- Review general ledger activity, complete balance sheet reconciliations, and investigate variances or unresolved items.
- Track and reconcile intercompany balances, accruals, tooling-related costs, and capital spending schedules.
- Oversee fixed asset records by monitoring acquisitions, retirements, and ongoing asset accountability.
- Contribute to monthly reporting packages, budgeting support, profitability reviews, and variance analysis.
- Assist with accounts receivable reconciliation work and prepare related month-end reporting details.
- Partner with the Corporate Controller on audit preparation, financial statement support, and assigned projects.
- Follow established accounting policies and internal procedures to help maintain compliance and consistency.
- Support accounting activities tied to company systems and reporting processes as needed. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years of general ledger exposure preferred.
- Practical experience preparing journal entries and completing reconciliations.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and comfort working with accounting databases or ERP systems.
- Ability to organize work effectively, maintain accuracy, and manage multiple deadlines.
- Capable of working independently while also collaborating with cross-functional team members.
- Solid analytical skills with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
