Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE
- Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, this senior level Accountant is responsible for supporting general accounting within the agency. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the preparation of timely financial reports, monitoring funds, and ensuring compliance with applicable nonprofit accounting standards and internal policies. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional who understands nonprofit finance and is committed to supporting the organization's mission through strong financial stewardship. 2.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-- Monitor multiple bank accounts and assist with cash management.
- Reconcile banking activity.
- Process accounts payable transactions.
- Generate accounts receivable invoices.
- Assist with the monthly closing process, including monthly journal entries.
- Assist with month end closing process.
- Provide supporting documentation as needed for audits.
- Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
- Ensure confidentiality regarding record keeping.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-- Maintain adherence to Company policies, safety/ergonomic standards and good housekeeping practices.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
-- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting.
- 4-year accounting degree is preferred.
- Previous work experience in a non-profit Agency is preferred.
- Previous experience working with accounting software systems.
- Previous experience using MS Office products.
- Strong technical accounting skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Pay:
$25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per weekBenefits:
