Hatch is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Accountant to work in our Ambler, PA (suburban Philadelphia) office. The Project Accountant will support project financial administration and ensure accurate, timely billing and project reporting. This role works closely with Project Managers, Finance, subcontractors, and clients to maintain financial accuracy across active projects.Key Responsibilities:
- Billing & Revenue o Prepare monthly client invoice packages, ensuring accuracy, compliance with contract terms, and timely submission o Perform accounts receivable monitoring and follow up to support healthy cash flow
- Contract & Financial Administration o Support a range of contract administration tasks, including documentation, compliance checks, and contract change tracking o Review, code, and process subconsultant invoices, ensuring adherence to contract and project requirements o Maintain SAP project data, including project setup, charge code creation, cost controls, and updates throughout project lifecycle • Project Support o Assist in proposal costing, including preparing cost estimates, rate validation, and budget inputs o Provide ad hoc project reporting, financial analysis, and support to Project Managers, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
- 1-3 years of project accounting (contracts administration/billing) experience
- A high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to process information quickly
- Experience in administration/billing of professional services contracts and/or government focused firm a plus
- Previous SAP experience considered a plus
- Advanced skills in MS Office software (primarily Excel)
- Excellent communication skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
