Monitor daily bank balances and cash activity. Download and review bank transactions. Prepare and post accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and other recurring journal entries. Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations. Review and analyze general ledger accounts for unusual balances or transactions. Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies. Identify accounting errors and prepare correcting journal entries. Respond to accounting-related questions from Operations, Purchasing, and Management. Cross-train on Accounts Payable responsibilities to provide backup coverage as needed. Assist with the preparation and data entry of annual budgets by division. Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial statements. Maintain fixed asset schedules, including recording new equipment, vehicles, and other capital assets. Prepare financial reports and communicate relevant findings to management. Apply accrual accounting principles to accurately record financial transactions. Support job costing by providing accurate financial data and analysis. Work within the company's ERP system (Acumatica) to maintain accurate accounting records, troubleshoot transaction issues, and correct errors. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, procedures, and overall efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Previous experience as a Staff Accountant, or a similar accounting role preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency with accounting/ERP software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with Acumatica preferred. Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in financial data entry and analysis. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
