Tax Accountant - Contract to hire.
Location:
New Kensington, PA Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (additional hours may be required during tax season) Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join their growing team in New Kensington, PA. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with firm leadership while supporting a diverse client base with tax preparation, accounting services, and financial reporting needs. The ideal candidate has experience preparing individual and business tax returns and enjoys working in a collaborative public accounting environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and file individual (1040), partnership, and corporate tax returns. Perform tax preparation and tax accounting activities during busy tax seasons. Utilize QuickBooks to support client bookkeeping, accounting, and tax preparation functions. Review financial information and ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations. Work closely with firm leadership on client engagements and tax planning initiatives. Assist clients with accounting, tax, and financial reporting needs. Maintain organized and accurate client records and documentation. Qualifications Experience preparing individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns. Proficiency with QuickBooks is required. Public accounting experience is preferred but not required. Strong tax preparation experience will be considered in lieu of public accounting experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred; candidates with relevant accounting coursework and demonstrated tax expertise will also be considered. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak tax seasons. Interest in building a long-term career in public accounting and pursuing CPA certification is a plus. Pay Details:
