Job Description

Position Summary The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, supporting the month-end close process, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis. Essential Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger. Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance-sheet account reconciliations. Process and review biweekly/semi-monthly payroll. Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities. Review accounting transactions for accuracy and proper account classification. Analyze account balances and investigate variances and discrepancies. Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management as needed. Prepare financial reports and management schedules. Maintain accurate documentation and accounting records. Assist with audits, tax requests, and other external reporting requirements. Monitor accounting procedures and internal controls. Identify process improvements and recommend efficiencies. Work with other departments to resolve accounting issues. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2-5 years of accounting experience preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting. Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations. Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills and experience with accounting software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
