Job Description:
Property & Corporate Accountant / Senior Top Commercial Real Estate company is seeking a Property & Corporate Accountant / Senior to join an established and collaborative team. This role will be hands-on in all property accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting for a set portfolio of properties. The VP Accounting is targeting a driven professional with a foundation in real estate or property accounting and desire to join a fast-growing organization. Responsibilities:
Perform month-end activities (GL review, journal entries, reconciliations, etc.) for a portfolio of properties Contribute to budget/forecast preparation Prepare reporting packages and meet all internal reporting deadlines Support AP/AR functions; create/code invoices as needed Prepare workpapers for the annual audit Maintain working relationship with property managers Ensure accurate US GAAP accounting standards are met Play a key role in streamlining processes and new systems Support the leadership team with ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-5 years of real estate/property accounting experience Intermediate to advanced Excel; experience with Yardi or MRI Excellent analytical and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
