Job Description
Located in Lexington, NC, we specialize in providing equipment for material handling, washing, and lifting, tailored for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries offering standard and custom-made equipment designed to meet strict regulations.
We are looking for a hands-on Cost Accountant to support our growing Thermal market segment across US and UK Manufacturing sites. If you enjoy digging into costs, partnering with operations, and improving how things run, we'd love to meet you.
What you'll doMaintain and administer the standard cost system (BOMs, routings, labor & overhead rates)Handle inventory accounting & controls (valuation, reconciliations, cycle counts, physical inventories, obsolescence)Manage production orders, postings, closures, and resolve variancesPrepare and analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead, yield)Support cost estimates and margin analysis for customer quotationsAssist with budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing costs and inventoryContribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementTake on ad hoc projects as neededWhat we're looking for2+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environmentHands-on standard costing experienceExperience with monthly close and inventory accountingStrong knowledge of BOMs, routings, absorption & manufacturing accountingExperience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)Positive, collaborative team mindsetMotivated self-starter who can manage deadlines and prioritiesBenefitsCompany contributions toward medical, dental, and vision insurance premiumsTax-advantaged Health Savings Accounts (HSA) for medical expensesFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for dependent care expensesCompany-paid contributions to 401(k), disability, and life insuranceComplimentary personal financial planning supportPaid vacation, sick leave, and holidaysAccess to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Flexible work and work-from-home options (role-dependent)Reimbursement programs for personal and professional growth
