Job Description

We are looking for committed Shift Production Supervisors to manage all production activities during your designated shift in our bustling manufacturing facility. The Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for leading all production activities for an assigned shift in a high-volume manufacturing operation. This position ensures that safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives are met or exceeded while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The supervisor provides direct leadership to hourly production employees, maintains control of daily operations, and ensures compliance with company policies and all applicable regulations.

12-hour rotating 7-7 swing shift (2-2-3) 2 weeks days & 2 weeks nights.

RESPONSIBILITIES JOB FUNCTIONS
Job functions include but are not limited to the following.
Production & Operations Management:
Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet established safety, quality, and output goals. Monitor production schedules and resource allocation to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and manufacturing best practices. Identify and resolve production and process issues in real time, escalating where necessary. Oversee shift start-up and shutdown activities to ensure smooth transitions between shifts. Ensure manufacturing floor is maintained to EGGER standards at all times (Safety, Housekeeping)
Safety, Health & Environmental:
Lead by example in promoting and enforcing all company safety policies and procedures. Conduct daily safety observations and toolbox talks; ensure all incidents and near-misses are reported and investigated. Collaborate with EHS personnel to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment. Actively engage in hazard identification and mitigation on the production floor.
People Leadership & Development:
Supervise, coach, and develop hourly production employees to drive performance, engagement, and accountability. Conduct regular performance discussions and participate in annual performance appraisal and wage review processes. Administer attendance and timekeeping approval within the designated system (SAP TMW), ensuring accuracy of hours worked and proper application of pay rules. Support recruitment by participating in interviews, onboarding, and training of new employees. Manage attendance, performance, and behavioral issues through appropriate corrective action processes in partnership with HR.
Quality & Continuous Improvement:
Ensure consistent adherence to quality standards and specifications throughout the production process. Partner with Quality and Maintenance teams to identify and correct process deviations or equipment issues. Reduce quality related claims promoting customer satisfaction. Promote lean manufacturing principles and employee involvement in problem-solving initiatives. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) including safety, quality, productivity, scrap, and absenteeism.
Communication & Reporting:
Maintain accurate shift documentation including production reports, downtime logs, and employee records. Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate priorities, performance updates, and safety alerts. Provide written and verbal shift handoffs to ensure seamless communication between shifts and departments. Generate or contribute to reports on production metrics, safety performance, and workforce management as required.
General:
Embody EGGER Core Principles in all aspects of work activity. Other duties & projects as assigned.
SCHEDULE DEMANDS
Schedule:
12-hour rotating 7-7 swing shift (2-2-3) 2 weeks days & 2 weeks nights. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed to support production demands.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, dust, and moving equipment. Frequently required to stand, walk, and communicate effectively throughout the shift. Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time up to 12-hours. Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Reading computer screen or other electronic devices. Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Associate or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree. Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment required. Demonstrated experience leading hourly teams in a 24/7 or multi-shift operation. SKILLS Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold employees accountable. Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and lean/continuous improvement tools. Solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and plant-level EHS compliance requirements. Proficiency in time and attendance systems (e.g., UKG, Kronos, SAP TMW) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities; comfortable presenting information to cross-functional teams.
