Job Description

Bend, Oregon G.A. Rogers, Central Oregon's top ranked professional search firm, has an open need for a Certified Public Accountant with 2-4 years of experience preparing tax returns for both businesses and individuals. Tax Accountant Responsibilities Review complex individual (Form 1040), business (Forms 1120, 1120-S, 1065), trust (Form 1041), and estate tax returns prepared by staff Prepare returns for the firm's complex clients as needed Conduct and supervise tax research on complex issues; communicate conclusions clearly to staff and clients Review extensions, estimated tax calculations, and year-end tax planning projections Ensure all returns meet firm quality control standards prior to partner sign-off or final release + more Tax Accountant Requirements CPA license — active and in good standing in the State of Oregon (or eligible for Oregon licensure by reciprocity) 2+ years of progressive public accounting experience Strong people-skills Strong technical knowledge across individual, business, partnership, S-corp, and trust taxation Proficiency with professional tax software (UltraTax competency is a plus) Working knowledge of QuickBooks (Online and Desktop).
