Job Description
Description As the Estimating Analyst you are responsible for owning, governing, and optimizing all data that supports the Estimating & Planning organization. This includes ERP item and costing data, configuration tables, production standards, and structured analytical reporting. As the Estimating Analyst you will serve as the department's subject matter expert for ERP cost structures, Power BI datasets, KPI development, and pricing/estimate performance analytics. In this role you will partner closely with Estimators, Planners, Sales, Finance, and Operations to ensure that estimating accuracy, production planning efficiency, and cost recovery performance are supported by clean data, validated assumptions, and high?quality reporting. Lastly, you will ensure that financial and operational inputs within estimating systems, ERP, and connected data models remain current, accurate, and optimized to meet business goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Own and maintain ERP costing data, including material masters, labor standards, machine rates, waste standards, BOM accuracy, and routing structures. Maintain, audit, and improve estimating system data and configuration tables that drive cost calculations and pricing decision support. Partner with Estimator Planners to ensure system cost data aligns with market conditions, operational capabilities, and updated production standards. Develop, maintain, and publish Power BI dashboards and reports for KPI tracking, value?stream performance, estimate win/loss ratios, cost recovery, and productivity trends. Lead analysis for pricing trends, material consumption patterns, efficiency opportunities, and overall estimating performance. Develop and maintain departmental KPIs, automating data refresh cycles and validating data integrity across all reporting tools. Provide actionable insights to leadership through deep?dive analytics, variance reviews, and continuous improvement recommendations. Collaborate with Operations and Finance to reconcile system standards with actual performance metrics. Manage quarterly and annual cost model updates in partnership with Finance, Operations, and Estimating leadership. Support corporate strategic initiatives requiring system data alignment, reporting support, or analytical modeling. Train estimating and planning team members on system data usage, reporting tools, and analytical best practices. Support new system integrations, ERP enhancements, data migrations, and continuous improvement projects. Ensure accurate setup and governance of new materials, new production workflows, and customer-specific pricing structures. Additional duties as required.Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, project management or equivalent required. 4-6 years of experience in the printing industry and general understanding of the print process required. Experience in a Flexible Packaging or Label Printing manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Knowledge of printing substrates, inks and coatings, and finishing processes highly preferred. Previous estimating experience in a print environment is helpful but not required.Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) and office equipment Strong analytical and statistical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. High attention to detail with strong data governance discipline and accuracy standards. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system data inaccuracies quickly and effectively. Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non?technical audiences. Approachable with a true service?oriented mentality. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and analytical workloads in a fast?paced environment. Self?motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, system optimization, and process improvement. Strong sense of ownership and accountability for data accuracy, reporting quality, and project outcomes. Solid planning and organizational fundamentals, with consistent follow?up on tasks and projects.Supervisory responsibilities:

Home office: Adequate Wi-fi access required to support company provided computer and allow for seamless use of communication applications and tools for conducting daily business (ie: Video calls, chat, messaging, etc). Regular exposure to dust and noise when working in the production environment.Personal Protective Equipment:
Safety shoes, hearing, and eye are required in some production areas.Travel requirements:
