Job Description
We're looking for an energetic and organized accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of their portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of financial principles and a proactive mindset. In this role, you'll be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, audit preparation, and ensuring compliance with financial standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and enter month end and other required journal entries.
- Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Review and reconcile monthly transactions and balances and prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.
- Prepare standard and ad hoc financial analyses and reports.
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and compliance with internal policies.
- Reconcile bank accounts daily
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Solar Landscape's accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Support external audit processes, including preparing work papers and reports.
- Contribute on special projects as assigned. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university required
- 1+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with exposure to real estate or solar energy project fund accounting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to effectively collaborate with other business functions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
