Location:
Brunswick, Maine (Local or willing to relocate to Midcoast Maine)Schedule:
50-65 hours/week (January-April); 30-35 hours/week (May-December)Compensation:
$80,000- 90,000 annually, based on experience and credentials

December 2026 for the 2027 Tax Season About the Position Management Accounting is a growing Brunswick accounting firm serving individuals and businesses through the ABCs of accounting: Advisory, Bookkeeping, and Compliance . We value strong client relationships, positive team culture, technical excellence, teamwork, and a healthy work-life balance. We are seeking an experienced CPA or Enrolled Agent to manage tax engagements and serve as a trusted advisor to individual and business clients, but CPA/EA candidates encouraged to apply. This is a full-time salaried position with a reduced-hour schedule May-December. We also welcome experienced candidates seeking part-time or flexible arrangements and encourage you to apply and discuss what might work for you. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate tax returns Ensure federal and state compliance and meet tax deadlines Communicate with clients and manage client relationships Identify tax planning, advisory, and process improvement opportunities Maintain accurate and confidential client records Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism Qualifications CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred; CPA candidates encouraged to apply 3+ years of public accounting and tax preparation experience preferred Strong technical tax knowledge and tax software proficiency Excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Positive, self-motivated professional who values teamwork, professionalism, and humor What We Offer $80,000- 90,000 salary 30-35-hour workweeks May-December Primarily on-site work with hybrid flexibility after onboarding 401(k) with employer matching Health insurance compensation Professional development and mentorship Supportive, collaborative team environment Potential eligibility for the Maine Student Loan Repayment Tax Credit (SLRTC) Additional Information This is a primarily on-site position with hybrid flexibility .
