Job Description

Senior Accountant The Carmelite System is a multi-state not-for-profit senior living organization sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters of the Aged & Infirm. The Carmelite Sisters operate a network of skilled nursing facilities throughout the United States. We are seeking to hire a Senior Accountant for a fully-remote role within our finance department supporting multiple senior living facilities throughout the United States. This is a fully remote job. $80K to $100K annually based on skills and experience.
Senior Accountant Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. 3-5 years accounting experience within the healthcare industry. Direct experience working within a Skilled Nursing facility is preferred. Experience with a multi-facility finance department with specific experience filing external reporting to banks, SEC., preferred. CPA is preferred. Advanced user of Microsoft Office programs especially Excel. Demonstrated ability to be detailed oriented and organized.
Senior Accountant Job Summary:
Create monthly, quarterly, annual Financial Reports for internal and external parties. Create Financial Reports in accordance with GAAP. Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for several facilities. Provide trend variances, budget variances and reasons for the discrepancies. Review monthly financials with Healthcare Management. Determine methods for reducing cost with operations. Collaborate with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations during the audit process. Assist the Director of Risk Management in insurance reporting and annual renewal process. Create monthly and ad hoc analysis.
