The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate and timely completion of the full month-end close process. This position is responsible for preparing financial statements, conducting flux and variance analysis, managing inventory accounting, and supporting system integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced corporate environment. Responsibilities Execute the full month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Perform detailed flux analysis to explain variances in financial results and trends. Manage inventory accounting, including adjustments, reserves, and reconciliation of inventory-related accounts. Support system integration efforts, including ERP transitions and automation of accounting workflows. Collaborate with internal teams (FP&A, Operations, IT) to ensure data integrity and process alignment. Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries. Identify and improve internal controls and accounting policies. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a large corporate environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and system integration projects. Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Intercompany accounting experience. Proficiency in flux analysis. Capability in preparing financial statements. Work Environment The position will report to the Accounting Manager and follow a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days working remotely.
