Job Description

Position Summary The Senior Accountant will play a critical role within ABT's Finance team, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the organization's financial records. This individual will be responsible for general ledger maintenance, month-end close, grant compliance, and audit support — contributing directly to the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in non-profit accounting, exceptional attention to detail, and the initiative to drive process improvements. This role will report to the Controller. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a non-profit organization. Thorough knowledge of GAAP, including non-profit accounting standards (ASC 958). Proven experience with general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end close processes. Demonstrated experience with grant accounting and restricted fund management. Strong proficiency in accounting software. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling). Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
