The role combines traditional accounting with advanced Excel, QuickBooks, and data analysis to analyze financial records, organize complex datasets, prepare loss calculations, and develop specialized expertise in property and business interruption claims. Key Responsibilities Prepare complex accounting schedules and financial loss calculations for commercial insurance claims, including business interruption, property, inventory, and extra expense. Analyze financial statements, general ledgers, sales, payroll, inventory, and other accounting records. Prepare supporting schedules. Build and maintain complex Excel models using advanced formulas, PivotTables, lookups, and macros. Analyze large datasets and databases to identify trends, anomalies, and financial impacts. Reconcile and validate financial information from multiple sources. Update and analyze financial data from QuickBooks and other accounting systems. Utilize Tableau, databases, and other analytical tools to analyze and present financial information. Prepare organized workpapers, claim documentation, financial analyses, and reports. Manage multiple complex engagements at once while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Qualifications 5+ years of accounting, audit, financial analysis, consulting, or related experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential. Candidates should be comfortable working with large datasets, PivotTables, lookup functions, complex formulas, and financial models. Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment. Advance levels of attention to detail Preferred Qualifications CPA license Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems. Experience with Tableau, Power BI, databases, SQL, or other data analysis tools. Prior experience in forensic accounting, public accounting, insurance claims, business interruption analysis, litigation support, or financial consulting. Experience analyzing financial information across multiple locations, business units, or large datasets. Compensation $85,000-$95,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and technical capabilities.
