We're seeking an experienced Senior Client Accounting Services (CAS) professional to lead client engagements, mentor staff, and serve as a trusted advisor to our clients. This role combines technical accounting expertise, engagement leadership, financial analysis, technology optimization, and client advisory services to help business owners make informed decisions and achieve their financial goals. Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and client expectations are consistently achieved. Review financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm standards. Lead client meetings and financial discussions, communicating results, trends, risks, and recommendations in a clear and meaningful way. Analyze financial performance and key business metrics to provide actionable insights and support client decision-making. Supervise, mentor, and develop staff by providing coaching, training, and constructive feedback. Evaluate and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and technology solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability. Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and other outsourced controller and advisory services while identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships and expand services.
Qualifications:
High School diploma, or equivalent, is required. 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, client accounting services, outsourced accounting, or a similar environment. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Experience analyzing financial information and providing recommendations to support business decision-making. Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and client service. Experience supervising, mentoring, or reviewing the work of others while fostering professional growth and accountability. Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, cloud-based accounting applications, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting technology solutions. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting, is a plus.
