About the Role Artisan Design Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Mooresville, North Carolina. The primary purpose of the Senior Accountant role is to own key components of the month-end close process, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting activities. This role will play a key role in the daily and monthly financial accounting activities for ADG Corporate and must ensure the accurate and efficient completion of these tasks, as well as partner with accounting teams at subsidiary businesses. This is a hybrid role based in Mooresville, NC, with travel required approximately one week per month to Dallas, TX, and occasional additional travel as business needs arise. What You'll Do Execute financial responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with US GAAP. Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to support monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles. Own and manage fixed asset and lease accounting processes, including additions, disposals, depreciation, ROU assets, and related reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of recurring financial reporting packages. Apply accounting and business expertise to ensure accuracy by leveraging an understanding of company policies, data, controls, and resources. Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and streamline accounting processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort. Serve as an accounting resource and partner to field accounting teams across business units.
Requirements:
What You'll Bring Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a Finance-related field; or Master's degree in Accounting. Experience 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with strong emphasis on month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. Experience in corporate or public accounting environments. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Outlook. Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial accounting principles. Nice to Have Experience using ERP systems. Experience with fixed assets and/or lease accounting. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA Candidate. PowerPoint experience. Where You'll Work This is a hybrid position based in Mooresville, North Carolina. Travel is required approximately one week per month to Dallas, Texas, with occasional additional travel as business needs arise.
