Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting and tax engagements for a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate and timely service delivery.
- Prepare and review financial records, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities to support client reporting needs.
- Handle business tax work, including preparation related to partnership and corporate filings such as Forms 1065, 1120S, and 1120.
- Contribute to client planning discussions by providing insight on financial matters, tax considerations, and operational improvements.
- Assign work to entry-level team members, monitor progress, and help balance priorities across multiple deadlines.
- Coach and support staff through day-to-day guidance, review feedback, and ongoing career development.
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships while supporting efforts to generate new business opportunities and referrals.
- Work effectively in a digital, paperless environment using accounting, tax, and productivity software tools.
- Active CPA license.
- At least 5 years of current experience in public accounting.
- Strong background in month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Experience preparing and supporting partnership, payroll, and corporate tax engagements.
- Familiarity with IRS Forms 1065, 1120S, and 1120.
- Proficiency with tax and accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and paperless workflows.
- Ability to manage multiple client priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
