Three Saints Bay is looking for a Senior Accountant to help support our Family of Companies in Manassas VA in a hybrid work environment.
Job Description:
The Senior Accountant collaborates with internal and external clients to prepare or review adjusting journal entries, prepare or review account reconciliations, research account rec discrepancies and resolve timely, and as required, provide ad-hoc support and analyses. Internal clients include Human Resources, Operations and team members from Accounting and Finance. The Senior Accountant must exercise judgment and possess strong problem-solving skills in performing his/her duties while complying with established policies and procedures and meeting strict deadlines particularly during the month end close.
Responsibilities and Functions:
Prepare and/or review Journal Entries with detailed supporting documentation Develop templates for usage by all teams to ensure adequate support and similar approaches for similar entries. Create, reconcile, and/or approve assigned balance sheet accounts for several legal entities. Research unreconciled balances and collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper and timely clearing. Escalate aged unresolved variances to the Senior Controller or Controller. Develop automation to improve accuracy and create efficiency Assist in preparation of audit schedules and other required audit support Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy Establish a business relationship with internal and external customers Ensure adjusting journal entries are in accordance with US GAAP Prepare and enter labor accruals in accordance with month end close deadline Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Senior Accountant Experience resolving complicated account reconciliation variances Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with others and work independently Working knowledge of US GAAP Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Attention to detail and organizational skills are a must Competence with import and export of data into other software systems Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Deltek T&E Bachelor's degree in Accounting strongly preferred Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success
Hiring Range:
