Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Mantua, OH based transportation company looking for full time Staff Accountant. This candidate must be organized, detail orientated and able to multi-task. Expectation is to assist Controller with various accounting duties in a high paced environment.

Full-time Responsibilities:

Perform financial accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements, journal entries, and general ledger activities. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and audits. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making. Assist in leading initiatives in Cash and Accounts Payable functions. Duties to include HR functions, including payroll with TPA, and on boarding.

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting. Proven experience in financial accounting. Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis. Experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus.
