Staff Accountant

Our company is seeking an Accountant to work with our Controller. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team. The ability to multitask is essential in this position. The ideal candidate for this job is a strategic thinker, goal oriented, resourceful, a good problem solver and well organized. Accuracy and assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is a key success to this position. This is a remote position, however you must live in Broward or Palm Beach County. Job Duties include but not limited to: Manage daily data entry Recording journal entries Post daily payments Post vendor invoices Customer invoicing Account Reconciliation Assist with Internal Reporting Assist with Month End Close process Monitor and follow up past due accounts Assist the Controller with ad hoc accounting Maintain an orderly accounting filing system Other duties as assigned Job Requirements Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance Strong data entry Proficiency in MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel Strong Time Management is essential Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced challenging office environment Experience researching accounting issues a plus Excellent communication and organizational skills Intermediate Excel skills required This is a remote position, however you must live in Broward or Palm Beach County.
