PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Staff Accountant, Consumer Accounting at our Tysons, Virginia location. The purpose of this role is to compile, consolidate, and analyze accounting and finance information for production of financial reports and statements under limited supervision. This position is responsible for ensuring that documentation and process flows are complete, current, and accessible. Additionally, this role will perform research and analyses requested by management. Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent required. Minimum of two to four (2-4) years of related experience in Accounting. Proficiency in Excel required. Strong analytical skills required. Strong communication skills required. Strong query skills required. SQL preferred. Experience using A.I. tools preferred. Supervisory Responsibility This position will not supervise employees. Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. •Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.• Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required. Pay Transparency The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $52,200.00 - $115,154.00This position is eligible for an organizational performance based annual bonus, subject to board discretion and approval.

Assist in testing and implementing changes to accounting functions and processes necessary to comply with changes in accounting regulations. Recommend technological enhancements. May serve as point of contact for accounts payable or accounts receivable transactions.
