Direct Job #30552 Senior Tax Accountant - CPA Firm $90K-$120K Base | Warwick, RI A well-established public accounting firm in Warwick, RI, is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join its tax practice. This role will focus on complex tax preparation and review, tax planning, client advisory, technical research, and mentoring junior staff. This is a strong opportunity for someone with 3+ years of public accounting tax experience who wants to join a local CPA firm with a strong reputation, broad client exposure, and a clear path for continued professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, multi-state, and consolidated tax returns Support tax planning strategies for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals Conduct technical research on federal and state tax matters Review work prepared by staff accountants and help guide their development Build and maintain client relationships while managing expectations and deadlines Partner with managers and firm leadership on tax compliance, advisory work, and client service needs

Qualifications:

3+ years of tax experience within a public accounting firm Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; MST is a plus CPA license preferred Strong technical tax knowledge and research capabilities Experience reviewing tax returns and mentoring junior staff preferred CCH Axcess Tax, Document, and Engagement experience is a plus Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects This is a great fit for a tax professional who wants to step into a senior-level role with strong client exposure, technical complexity, and the ability to continue growing within a respected local CPA firm.
