Summary of Responsibilities- Prepare complex individual, corporate, partnership and trust tax returns
- Assist in developing tax planning strategies
- Perform research on technical tax matters; review & respond to IRS & state tax notices
- Lead engagements throughout all phases of accounting
- Prepare compilations and reviews of financial statements
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients
- Work in team environment alongside the firm's partners Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
- Licensed Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent preferred
- 4+ years of public accounting experience with emphasis on accounting and income tax preparation
- Strong knowledge of individual, corporate, partnership and trust taxes
- Ability to travel to client sites
- Ability to communicate with clients and staff in a professional manner
- Proficiency with professional tax software; experience with CCH Axcess Suite, Prosystem fx Tax & Prosystem fx Engagement are strongly preferred
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office is required The ideal candidate has:
