Job Duties Prepare and process payroll, including payroll tax filings and year-end forms (W-2s, 1099s), ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Complete annual reports, business tax filings, and license renewals Process accounts payable and perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; prepare and post adjusting journal entries across multiple client entities Prepare and file monthly and quarterly indirect tax returns, including sales tax, gross receipts tax, lodging tax, restaurant tax, and similar filings Support clients with year-end accounting clean-up and preparation for tax filings or assurance work. Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients on accounting-related matters. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Additional coursework or education in accounting, bookkeeping, business, or finance is beneficial. Experience Requirements Ability to accurately process financial records, invoices, payments, or accounting documents. Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail. Experience using computers, spreadsheets, accounting software, or office applications. Ability to organize records, maintain confidentiality, and meet established deadlines. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or office administration experience is preferred. Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar business systems is beneficial. Knowledge of general accounting principles, financial recordkeeping, or reconciliation procedures is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate professionalism, dependability, accuracy, and strong organizational skills are well positioned for success as a Accounting Services Associate. Physical Capabilities Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to review financial documents and enter data accurately.
