full-time Connect Search is partnering with an established organization in the energy & infrastructure construction industry that is looking to add an experienced Staff Accountant / AR Accountant to its team. Katy, TX 77494 $65K-$70K base + discretionary 10-20% bonus 100% onsite | Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM This is a great opportunity for someone who has a strong Accounts Receivable foundation but wants broader accounting exposure . This is not simply a billing position - you'll have ownership across AR processes while also supporting reconciliations, month-end close, project accounting, and audit activities. What they're looking for: ?? 5-7 years of Accounts Receivable experience ?? Well-rounded AR experience including aging, collections, cash application, invoice tracking & discrepancy resolution ?? Experience with account reconciliations and AR subledger-to-GL reconciliation ?? General accounting and month-end close exposure ?? Advanced Excel - PivotTables, VLOOKUPs/lookup functions & large data sets ?? Experience working within a mid-market or enterprise ERP ?? Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with project/field teams ?? Construction, engineering or project-based industry experience strongly preferred ?? Exposure to percentage-of-completion and/or cost-plus/reimbursable contracts is a plus ?? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred They're looking for someone who is outgoing, driven, detail-oriented and comfortable taking ownership in a lean, collaborative accounting environment. ????
