This position will be responsible for managing the accounting activities of Specialty Paper, including invoicing, month-end closing, financial reporting, and related accounting functions. The role will also oversee and coordinate the accounting and reporting functions for Master Fibers' three locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of daily financial operations while supporting organizational financial objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following
  • Month end closed.
  • Invoicing
  • Reconcile bank accounts.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Monitor status of bank accounts, accounts payables.
  • Understand General Ledger.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Prepare account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Timely filing of accounting records.
  • Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliation and analysis.
  • Learn the scale operation process to provide coverage when the Scale Clerk is on lunch breaks or absent.
  • Work on other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the fields of accounting and finance or equivalent to years of experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively with a variety of personalities.
  • Ability to think through, evaluate, and solve problems logically and independently
  • Must meet deadlines without extensions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a creative thinker and have strong analytical skills.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner (oral and written).
  • Must be detail-oriented and focused on accuracy.
