Fully vertically integrated, we develop, acquire, and manage micro-bay properties across the country's top markets. We move fast, think strategically, and build systems that scale - and we're looking for a Property Accountant who does the same. Position Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our finance team and take ownership of the accounting cycle for a portfolio of industrial properties. This role is responsible for accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close, working closely with property management, asset management, and leasing to support the company's growth. Key Responsibilities Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and general ledger accounts, researching and resolving differences Analyze accounts receivable, delinquency, and related reporting; support move-out and security deposit processing Partner with property management teams to ensure accurate lease and charge data within the accounting system Prepare operating expense reconciliations; support annual budget and reforecast processes Prepare accurate financial statements for an assigned portfolio of properties Assist with lender, investor, and other reporting requests as well as ad hoc financial analysis Contribute to process improvement initiatives as the company scales its portfolio and systems Perform other finance or administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered At least 2-5 years of experience in property / real estate accounting, general accounting, or a related finance role Solid understanding of GAAP, the accounting cycle, and month-end close processes Proficiency in learning new accounting & AI software quickly and being adept with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel; experience with MRI or other real estate software strongly preferred Experience with reconciliation and close management tools (e.g., FloQast) a plus Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-moving, multi-entity environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders Background in real estate, property management, or commercial real estate preferred What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Generous PTO policy Opportunity to join a fast-scaling company in commercial real estate An entrepreneurial environment where your work directly impacts company growth WorkBay is an equal opportunity employer.
