Staff Accountant Help Build a Reliable, Scalable Accounting Function for a Growing Multi-Location Dental Organization Cook Dental Group is seeking a highly organized, detail-driven Staff Accountant who is motivated by accuracy, process discipline, and creating confidence in financial information. This is a full-time position located in Newport News, VA. You will work closely with internal leadership and external accounting partners to ensure that day-to-day financial activity is recorded correctly, reconciled consistently, and supported by clear documentation.
As Our Staff Accountant, You Will:
Support the organization's financial accuracy by: Maintaining current and organized accounting records Processing and coding transactions consistently across multiple entities Completing bank, credit card, loan, and balance-sheet reconciliations Managing accounts payable with accuracy, documentation, and proper approvals Supporting payroll accounting, including compensation calculations and reconciliations Assisting with revenue and collections reconciliation across multiple locations Preparing assigned journal entries and accounting schedules Supporting month-end close activities to ensure timely, reliable financial statements Providing accounting information for internal reporting, budgeting, and forecasting Protecting sensitive financial, payroll, and employee information Following established accounting procedures and identifying opportunities for improvement This role focuses on execution, accuracy, and consistency.
