Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues as needed.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes by organizing records and validating account activity.
- Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice review, coding, and payment coordination.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules for internal review and decision-making.
- Monitor accounting documentation for completeness and compliance with established procedures.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to gather financial information and address accounting-related questions. Requirements
- Experience working in a staff accounting or similar accounting support role.
- Working knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with accounts payable processes and invoice handling.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines accurately.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
