Accountant I Overview:
This position supports customer service, finance, and accounting operations with a focus on accounts payable processes. The role requires attention to detail and reliability to ensure accurate financial data entry, vendor communication, and compliance with company policies while supporting overall departmental objectives.
Qualifications:
Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in data entry Reliable and able to meet deadlines consistently Basic understanding of accounting principles 1 year of previous accounting experience preferred, but not required Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet applications Strong communication skills for vendor and internal staff interactions Ability to organize and maintain electronic filing systems
Job Duties:
Enter financial transactions and documentation into accounting systems with accuracy and timeliness Verify vendor information, purchase orders, and transaction details for completeness Communicate with vendors and internal staff to resolve billing and payment discrepancies Update pricing information and add new items to inventory management systems Research and obtain missing financial documentation from external sources Organize and maintain electronic filing systems for financial records Distribute communications to appropriate internal personnel Maintain and update departmental spreadsheets and tracking documents Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards Support month-end and year-end closing activities Provide additional assistance to the accounting department as required
