In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across various financial processes. Your energetic approach and strong foundation in accounting principles will help drive efficient financial management and contribute to the overall success of our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in corporate and governmental accounting while working with leading financial software systems. Responsibilities Assist with general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions by processing invoices, managing vendor and customer data, and ensuring timely payments. Conduct data entry tasks using accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Workday, maintaining high levels of accuracy and confidentiality. Perform bank statement reconciliations and review transactions for compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies. Aid in month-end closing activities, including preparing reports, analyzing financial data through Excel data analysis techniques, and assisting with audit preparations. Maintain detailed records of financial transactions while handling sensitive information with discretion. Collaborate with team members on technical accounting projects involving SOX compliance, public accounting standards, or governmental regulations. Requirements Proven experience or internship in accounting or finance roles, demonstrating familiarity with bookkeeping, data entry, and basic financial concepts. Strong knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos or UltiPro; experience with multiple systems is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for data analysis and spreadsheets management. Understanding of GAAP standards and technical accounting principles; familiarity with SOX compliance is advantageous. Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail for account reconciliation and journal entries. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines. Good communication skills to collaborate within teams and support customer service functions related to finance inquiries.
