Job Description

Job Summary McDougall & Sons, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to assist with all aspects of accounting functions for multiple affiliated companies, with a particular focus on orchard operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. This is a full-time position with a regular work schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Job Duties Prepare monthly accounting schedules and reconciliations and assist with the monthly closing process. Prepare journal entries. Assist with maintaining fixed asset records and reconciling fixed assets to the general ledger. Prepare periodic financial and management reports. Process and record certain cash receipts. Participate in other accounting projects as assigned. Assist with the orchard budgeting process. Supervise accounting assistants. Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for the annual audit and respond to related requests. Prepare accounting procedures, memos, and checklists as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience . Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Knowledge or experience in the orchard industry is helpful but not required. Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to various software platforms. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Pay:
$34.00 - $43.00 per hour
