We are working with a local financial institution that is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their staff. Responsibilities include reconciliation of bank statements & GL accounts and will assist the Controller with ME close and ad-hoc projects. The Senior Accountant is also responsible for the preparation of the quarterly Call Report and will be crossed trained in other departmental tasks. Targeting individuals with a 4-year degree with 1-3 years of accounting experience. Job Responsibilities:
  • Review of general ledger accounts and preparation and adjustments to journal entries
  • Financial analysis, including investment analysis and accounting standard analysis.
  • Support in the organizations consolidations.
  • Prepare periodic reports in for timely filing, such as the quarterly Call Report.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives for the Finance department and recommend process improvements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 0-3 years of experience and will consider a new graduate
  • Strong attention to detail, with ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
