an accountant for full-time, long-term work in Sophia, WV ! Position Summary The accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate job cost records, and ensuring financial data integrity. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with QuickBooks and understands job costing in a project-based environment such as construction, manufacturing, or field services. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting using QuickBooks Track and allocate job costs (labor, materials, subcontractors, overhead) Reconcile bank and credit card statements Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Assist with payroll and tax filings Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards Maintain general ledger and journal entries Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking Other duties as required Qualifications 3+ years of accounting experience in a job cost-driven company Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) Solid understanding of job costing and project accounting Advanced Excel skills High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and communication skills Experience in construction, manufacturing, or service-based project environments preferred Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting Experience with payroll processing CPA or relevant education preferred, but not required For additional information, please call our office at 304-252-4510!
