Location:
Corona, California Job Type:
Part-Time with ability to work up to 30-hours per week
Starting Pay:
$18.00 per hour, with an increase to $20.00 per hour following a successful 60-day review
Schedule:
2-3 days per week to start, approximately 9:00/10:00 a.m. to 2:00/3:00 p.m. Flexibility with schedules but must be during normal business hours. We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized Bilingual Administrative Assistant to support our Corona office. This person will often be one of the first points of contact for our clients, so professionalism, warmth, discretion, and strong communication skills are essential. This is primarily an administrative position with a clear opportunity to grow into bookkeeping, tax preparation support, accounting assistance, and small-business operations. The person selected for this role will have access to training, expanded responsibilities, additional hours, and increased compensation as they develop their skills and take on more advanced work. Key Responsibilities Welcome clients and visitors to the office in a warm and professional manner Answer and return phone calls, emails, and client messages Assist clients in English and Spanish Schedule and confirm client appointments Scan, organize, upload, and properly route client documents Maintain accurate electronic and physical client files Assist with mail processing and general office organization Track outstanding client documents and follow up as directed Update client information and workflow statuses within our systems Assist with data entry, document preparation, and administrative projects Assist with business client needs - training included Support the tax and accounting team during busy filing periods Help maintain a clean, organized, and client-ready office Protect confidential client, tax, and financial information Complete other administrative and operational duties as assigned Required Qualifications Fluent or professionally proficient in both English and Spanish Available to work in person at our Corona office at least 2-3 days per week Strong written and verbal communication skills Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with clients Dependable, punctual, and able to follow through on assigned responsibilities Strong organizational skills and
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Comfortable using computers, email, online portals, and cloud-based software Able to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive financial and personal information Willing to follow established procedures, checklists, and office systems Able to work independently while also communicating effectively with a virtual and in-office team Preferred Qualifications Previous administrative, receptionist, customer service, banking, bookkeeping, payroll, or tax-office experience Interest in developing a career in tax preparation, bookkeeping, accounting, or business administration Experience with Google Workspace, QuickBooks Online, TaxDome, Microsoft Office, or similar software Familiarity with scanning, electronic document management, and client portals Current or future interest in obtaining a CTEC registration or PTIN Experience working with small-business owners or professional-service clients Prior tax or bookkeeping experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person who demonstrates professionalism, initiative, accuracy, and a genuine desire to learn. It is not a remote position. The employee must be available at least 2-3 weekdays per week to start. Typical shifts are approximately 4 hours, generally between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Additional hours are available based on business needs, performance, availability, and seasonal workload.
