Job Summary As the Accounting Supervisor, you will oversee the daily transactional accounting operations across our five Florida retail locations. You will ensure accurate transactional processing, drive the monthly close process, and support management through timely financial analysis. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, excels at training and mentoring staff, and is passionate about operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Supervise and mentor a small team of accounting clerks and bookkeepers at multiple retail locations Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance Coordinate, review, and execute timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes Prepare regular financial statements and operational reports for management review Monitor daily cash flow activities across all store locations and oversee monthly bank reconciliations Assist management in budgeting and forecasting processes Enforce established internal controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to safeguard company assets Coordinate store compliance for required government licensing and complete necessary local/state filings Act as the primary point of contact for the external accountant, payroll provider, and 401K plan administrator Support inventory accounting workflows and conduct routine cost analysis Identify opportunities for workflow improvements including accounting/financial SOPS; assist in implementing improvements and automations across all 5 locations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) Strong knowledge of GAAP, full-cycle accounting, accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage), and advanced Microsoft Excel 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year of experience leading, reviewing and supervising the work of others Excellent organizational, problem-solving and communication skills, with a proven ability to meet strict close deadlines Preferred Experience in retail, grocery or multi-location business environments Passion for health, wellness, and sustainability is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary plus bonus and paid time off 401k match (after one year) Employee discounts on all store products Opportunities for professional development and growth A collaborative, mission-driven work culture

$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
