About Sheet Metal Werks, LLC Founded in 1987, Sheet Metal Werks, LLC is an established and growing commercial HVAC sheet metal fabrication company located in Arlington Heights, Illinois. We have built our reputation by providing quality products, dependable service, and responsive support to our customers throughout the industry. As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a dependable and highly organized Accounting & Office Administrator to join our team. This position is being filled in preparation for the planned retirement of a longtime employee. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the current employee and receive hands-on training to support a smooth and successful transition. Position Overview The Accounting & Office Administrator will support the company's daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer service, and general office functions. This position requires a high level of accuracy, organization, follow-through, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and competing priorities. The ideal candidate will be experienced with accounting software, comfortable performing detailed data entry, and able to communicate professionally with customers, vendors, employees, and visitors. Experience with Sage 100 is strongly preferred. Primary Responsibilities Process and enter accounts payable invoices accurately and promptly. Assist with accounts receivable functions, including customer invoicing and payment-related questions. Reconcile approximately 70 vendor accounts each month, including freight and shipping accounts. Assist with the monthly closing of accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prepare and send invoices and account statements to customers. Open and maintain new customer and vendor accounts. Assist with customer credit inquiries and account information requests. Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation within Sage 100. Perform frequent and detailed data entry while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Communicate with customers and vendors regarding invoices, payments, statements, and account questions. Answer and direct incoming telephone calls. Greet visitors and assist with general front-office responsibilities. Organize accounting records, invoices, statements, and other company documentation. Provide administrative support to the accounting and management teams as needed. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries Maintain customer tax exemption certificates and related documentation Assist with new customer credit applications, including contacting references Manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines while responding to day-to-day office needs Qualifications Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, accounting administration, or a related office position. Experience using Sage 100 is strongly preferred. Strong data-entry skills with close attention to accuracy and detail. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple tasks at the same time. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional and courteous when working with customers, vendors, employees, and visitors. Comfortable working independently while also contributing as part of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other standard office programs. Dependable attendance and consistent follow-through are essential. Compensation and Benefits Sheet Metal Werks, LLC offers consistent, full-time employment with a dependable 40-hour workweek.

Work Environment This is a full-time, in-person position at our Arlington Heights facility. Pay:
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour
