Job Description

Accounting & Office Administrator Location:
Indianapolis, IN Job Type:
Full-Time, Salaried Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5
PM Salary:
$60,000-$70,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications About the Position We are seeking a dependable, organized, and personable Accounting & Office Administrator to manage day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, office administration, and customer/vendor communication. The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting professional who is comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and taking ownership of financial and administrative responsibilities. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Bookkeeping Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping activities Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable Prepare invoices, process payments, and assist with collections Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Maintain accurate financial records Assist with payroll-related tasks Communicate with customers and vendors regarding accounts and payments Coordinate with the CFO Identify and report accounting discrepancies Office Administration Oversee daily office operations Answer phones, emails, and general inquiries Maintain electronic and physical files Assist with scheduling and administrative projects Prepare documents, reports, and correspondence Help maintain a professional and organized office environment Customer & Vendor Relations Provide professional customer service Communicate with customers and vendors regarding orders, invoices, and payments Follow up on outstanding information and documentation Maintain positive working relationships Qualifications 5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration experience preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Professional, dependable, and trustworthy Ability to handle confidential financial information A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is preferred but not required with strong relevant experience. CPA or accounting firm experience is a plus. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, dependable, professional, and comfortable taking ownership of accounting and office responsibilities. They should be a strong communicator, problem solver, and team player who is willing to assist wherever needed.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
