Job Description:
We are looking for an Accounting Supervisor to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below. This is a strong opportunity for an accounting professional ready to step into a leadership role, overseeing daily operations and helping shape a growing team, in a hybrid position based in Cleveland, OH. Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity Review and approve reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close deliverables Coach, train, and evaluate the performance of accounting team members Support the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements Assist with audit preparation, including gathering documentation and supporting schedules Strengthen and maintain internal controls across day-to-day accounting processes Recommend and implement improvements to accounting workflows and efficiency Serve as a point of contact for cross-departmental accounting questions and issues Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally with some supervisory or team-lead exposure Working knowledge of GAAP and month-end close procedures Comfort with accounting/ERP systems and strong Excel capabilities Solid leadership, communication, and organizational abilities Capable of juggling competing priorities What Our Client Offers Salary growth tied to performance milestones A defined path toward accounting management roles Team-oriented culture with an emphasis on mentorship
