Full Job Description Company Summary :
Swinter Group, Inc. is a winter services company. We perform snow removal on large commercial, industrial, and health facilities; offer expert witness services to attorneys regarding slip and fall litigation; and serve other snow removal companies via consultative and software services as well as selling bulk and bagged deicers.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. The ideal candidate takes initiative, communicates effectively, works accurately and efficiently, and follows responsibilities through to completion. This position requires someone who enjoys helping others, learning new things, and working with many different types of people in an environment where workload varies throughout the year. Duties shall include, but are not limited to: Create and send invoices, sales receipts and email communications to customer and vendors Enter bills and credit card charges into accounting system Request, receive, and process COI's and W-9's from subcontractors Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate team members Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages Organize and maintain office filing (digital and paper) and storage systems Ensure office equipment is properly maintained and serviced Monitor and restock office, kitchen and restroom supplies Maintain and update CRM records Update and maintain telephone system All other duties as assigned
Work Hours:
Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Hours may vary before, during, or after winter weather events
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of accounting and bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable and accounts receivable Two years of college coursework, relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience High level of proficiency regarding general office applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, and a basic familiarity of Mac operating systems Experience using QuickBooks Desktop and/or Daylite are preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
