General Accounting Lead Pay:

$45 to 60/hr W2, depending on experience San Diego location

We're seeking a skilled General Accounting Lead to strengthen financial operations and support work that creates a meaningful community impact. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you'll oversee core accounting activities, guide staff accountants, and help ensure accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting across a complex, multi-entity organization. What You'll Do

• Lead monthly and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance resolution
• Prepare and review financial reports, supporting schedules, and audit documentation
• Maintain accurate intercompany accounting and account balancing across multiple entities
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliations
• Support medical revenue accounting, validation, and reporting
• Provide technical guidance and quality review for staff accountants
• Strengthen internal controls, procedures, workflows, and cross-training
• Identify practical process and system improvements that increase accuracy and efficiency
