We are now hiring an Accounts Receivable Manager to be the newest member of our impactful team!
Pay range:
$110k•130k The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for ensuring the consistency and quality of the AR effort across the company and in their assigned Branch. They train and develop the AR Consultants who report to them and also serve as the AR Consultant to their assigned facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists in the recruiting and hiring of
AR Consultants Supervising CBO:
Managing and mentoring a team of AR specialists or collectors.
Overseeing Billing and Collections:
Ensuring accurate and timely billing to insurance companies and patients, and managing the collection process for outstanding balances
Managing Denials:
Analyzing and resolving insurance claim denials to maximize revenue
Implementing AR Policies and Procedures:
Developing and enforcing best practices for accounts receivable management within the
CBO Reporting and Analysis:
Generating reports on key AR metrics, such as aging reports, collection rates, and denial trends
Ensuring Compliance:
Adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines related to billing and collections in the healthcare industry Working with
Payers:
Interacting with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and ensure timely payment. Trains and develops the AR Consultants who report to them Supervises the AR Consultants, including evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed Conducts touch base meetings with AR Consultants on a regular basis, as assigned Implements processes and procedures to ensure consistency in their Branch and throughout the company Participates in annual AR strategic planning under direction of the Director of AR Assists in planning annual AR event for BOMs Meets with Director of AR on a monthly basis to discuss performance of facilities against plan Attends monthly AR review meeting to discuss performance of each facility, including the performance of BOMs and BOAs Attends quarterly Branch OMT meeting Attends monthly Branch Administrator meeting, as invited Trains BOM and BOA the technical knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their role Teaches all aspects of billing, claims, banking, accounting and EMR software Teaches eligibility for all payor types, such as Medicaid, Medicare, commercial, etc Teaches authorization process for all payors Teaches billing process for all payors Teaches follow-up process for all payors, including claim correction and appeals Teaches collection process for private accounts, including small claims court, collection agencies and any referrals Works with facility to improve billing processes, such as Triple Check and CSSR, etc Helps recruit and interview candidates for BOM and BOA positions Makes recommendations that are seriously considered regarding the hiring, performance management, and termination of Business Office personnel Works with BOM on how to lead, supervise and develop their BOA Performs exit report with the Administrator after each visit Visits each facility on a monthly basis Attends Triple Check and CSSR at each facility at least once per quarter Attends A-Z aging review with BOM and Administrator once per quarter Reviews 120+ day aging w/each BOM once per month Completes month-end close with each facility on a monthly basis Maintains software and performs new facility and user setup Able to travel locally and out of area as needed to support and consult with facilities, including overnight travel All other duties as assigned
What Sets You Apart:
High School graduate or equivalent required; college degree preferred 5-7 years experience as an AR Consultant preferred 5-7 years experience as a supervisor Possesses knowledge and experience in Medicare, Medicaid and HMO billing Possesses skills in private collection Possesses excellent computer skills, including keyboarding, use of computer applications and
