$ 32 to $43 per hour
Permanent Schedule :
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST Role Overview The Accounting Supervisor is a strategic leadership role focused on operational excellence, task control, and team mentorship. This role directly oversees a team of Client Service Managers and Accounting Associates, ensuring the flawless execution of high-volume financial workflows. This is a non-manual accounting role ; your goal is to manage people, build robust tracking systems, eliminate single points of failure, and cultivate a culture of total accountability.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & People Management:
Directly manage and coach a team of financial professionals, conducting structured monthly performance reviews and technical coaching sessions.
Task Control & Metrics:
Enforce strict workflow standards, manage client file "Cleanup Scores", and review weekly time tracking and performance metrics to flag efficiency gaps.
Portfolio Oversight:
Oversee a portfolio of accounts, ensuring total compliance with internal financial controls, audit processes, and risk prevention standards.
Resource Allocation:
Balance workloads across your team to optimize utilization, prevent employee burnout, and assign backup coverage to guarantee service continuity.
Onboarding & Transitions:
Partner with onboarding specialists to successfully transition new client implementations smoothly into long-term operations. "Replaceable by Design"
Systems:
Standardize and document internal team Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the team can scale seamlessly and function autonomously.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
5+ years of experience managing people and leading financial operations, bookkeeping, or accounting teams.
Skills:
Advanced knowledge of professional financial operations workflows, resource forecasting, and team optimization.
Technical Fluency:
Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO), Sage Intacct, or specialized bill pay tech stacks.
Soft Skills:
Top-tier escalation management, constructive coaching abilities, and excellent professional communication skills.
