Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for an Accounts Payable Supervisor for a long term contract, hybrid, opportunity in Glen Allen, Virginia. Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee daily AP operations, support process improvements, and ensure accurate and timely invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and documentation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with leadership experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to support compliance, audit requests, and vendor/payment issue resolution. Key Responsibilities Supervise day-to-day Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, payment generation, expense payments, and general ledger activity. Review AP transactions for proper authorization, coding, cost centers, taxes, discounts, and compliance with internal controls. Identify and support process improvements to improve efficiency, scalability, accuracy, and cross-training within the team. Maintain accurate AP procedures and documentation, support audits, and ensure timely completion of 1099 processing. Research and resolve accounting issues related to teammate and vendor payments. Qualifications Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience. 2+ years of accounting or accounts payable experience; financial institution experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to guide and support a team. Experience with automated AP systems; Concur experience preferred. Strong attention to detail, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting applications.
Contract Pay Range:
$30 to $45 an hour, depending on experience
Hybrid Schedule:
